How to “release” ducks.
How to fill pond. Change event to fishpond. Duck Derby in the Pond at City Park.
Winners: $1000 first prize, $500 second place, $250 third prize
Katie filled out a parade form for a dry run for a trial for the distribution of ducks.
(Or use the hill and have water run the ducks down, with barriers (bumpers), hay bails
to limit “run” OR use the pond at the City Park.) Use a rowboat, volunteer to net
winners for duck derby.
PSE will make a donation. Unknown amount at this time. Estimate of $500.00.
Lisa will contact Scott Morasch about numbering ducks and tickets. Proof of purchase
to manage monies and have each person have their tickets to ensure appropriate
winners. Ticket numbers will determine the winners. How do we (participants)
purchase tickets online, ducks and track purchases? Ask about giant duck for parade,
to sit on tractor. Provide super soakers for the parade. Ducks $5/ea, 5 ducks for
$20.00. The goal is to sell 2,000 ducks.
*Funds go to the Pool District.
*Duck pond in the City Park is approved…no water from City (no chlorine)
*Serve hot dogs, free food, entertainment!
*Ask Scott if “loaned” ducks are numbered. Need a list of ducks, purchasers
names and a master list to correlate those who purchase ducks.
Buy Dayton Dollars to award to kids, small prize winners ($25/each for example)
*No political groups this is for the pool! Encourage the following to participate.

*YMCA – Karen Hedine
*Joe Huether, Jeremy Wheatley, Chuck Reeves for food
*Sheriff Dept. for drinks; Pepsi, water. FotP help with funding.
Family festival activity, Alumni celebrations, and support the construction for a new pool.
Hot dogs; 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Get a ticket for Dayton bucks. Donation for
watermelons from Steve’s, IGA. Or Locally Nourished, Community Showcase (not
political) – Shakira, Vemno set up for the pool at this time. New code to donate to the
pool.
Friends of Pool or CCPRPD set up a Venmo account.

Begin to sell tickets on May 1, 2026.
Chamber QR code for public publications, banners, around town. Schematic of the
actual pool.
Banner for fundraising thermometer, complete with QR code.
Get food at Costco for ‘dogs, chips, buns, etc.
