Meeting was called to order at 4:59 p.m by Chair Terri Hessler. All Board
members Dianne McKinley, Katie Leid, Lisa Naylor, Ted Lowe were present.

Minutes of December 18, 2025 were moved for approval by Lisa, seconded by
Katie and approved by all.
No public comment.
Friends of the Pool – Fred
Looking for replacement so he can focus on new duties on Hospital Board.
Not received the VGG check, more donors and more gifts; estimate
$8,000.00
Spread the wealth of FotL grant
Friends of the Library – Pearl Dennis: Inatai grant (509) 382-3139
Building community within Dayton; help with insurance and to hire an
accountant.
Working down the original grant – tough to spend big money!
Offering another grant! Community Building support effort, but must be
spent in one year – $15,000 - $20,000. Define the project within three
months. Fundraiser and community fund.

Innovia and Youth Athletic Facilities grant she’s working on.

Elsa needs final of lease agreement with the City of Dayton
Duck Derby – Katie
Create on winners, prizes, Alumni weekend, maybe a car, trip for four people,
provide food (hotdogs), 3 rd weekend of July 18, 2026. Talk with Jeff Turner
(pool fundraiser) (509) 629-3007, announce on local radio, NWPR. Get a
plan to Pearl to use funds for duck derby, ask for $20,000.
Ask for a budget using the $20,000.00
Meet at Katie’s house for a work session on derby details, 2/13/26.

RCO Butch Lovelace – update for Youth Athletic Facilities

Additional questions to Kim for January meeting. Dianne will share with
Kim.
Yard Sale for Pool at Terri’s house in May. In Hessler’s shop.
Thermometer for fundraising. Staples poster of pool rendering.
Katie (Board treasurer) will be absent for the February meeting. She’ll
prep the vouchers. Jordyn will be ready.
Additional tasks: news articles, capital grant, yard sale, duck derby, grant
writing for the RCO grant, Innovia Foundation and numerous grant
opportunities.
Next meeting Feb. 26, 2026 at Fire Station.
