Regular Board Meeting Minutes

Thursday, November 20, 2025 5 p.m.

Columbia County Fire Department #3 Conference Room

Meeting was called to order at 5:02 p.m by Chair Dianne McKinley. All Board

member were present, in addition to guest Elsa Watson and Friends of the Pool

Chair, Fred Crowe.

Minutes of October 30, 2025 were moved for approval by Ted, seconded by Terri

and approved by all.

No public comment.

Friends of the Pool – Fred

 Exchange Club awarded us $3000 for swim lessons

 Fred is working with Jordyn Lowe for a “holiday” QR code for donations,

during Christmas Kickoff (a laminated poster), including FotP donations.

Ted will work with Jordyn to get posters with the QR codes. QR = Quick

Response!

representatives. Dianne connects with Mark Schloesser

 Direct Appropriation – Representative Michael Baumgartner’s

office offers advice.

 Submitted grant to Columbia REA Legacy on 10/03/25,

requesting $250,000

 RCO – Butch Lovelace. Propose zoom meeting in the am on December

5, Friday. Request up to $1.5 million, matched 50%

 Elsa will look at WA Dept. of Commerce grants after the New Year

 Pool Safety Grant Program – currently closed. Check in May 2026

 Wildhorse Foundation grant opportunity – CTUIR

 Site Control - demonstrate a lease for the pool property for grant

proposals. Ask Kim Boggs to draft a simple lease for $1 for 99 years.

 Duck Derby – Katie. She’s working on a letter for the City. Lisa volunteers

to help. Look for mobile sponsors to “host” the Big Duck!

 Looking for space locally to post/share renditions for pool design,

thermometer to advertise and update funding-raising for the pool.

Elect Chairman to serve Jan. 2026 – Dec 2027

Nominations for Terri, seconded by Ted, approved by all! Congrats, Terri.
